October 6, 2023, I601A Approval

Approval of the Form I601A which eliminates the 10-year bar caused by previous unlawful presence

This waiver is required when the green card beneficiary committed a violation of immigration law related to being present in the United States without lawful status for one year or more that causes the beneficiary to be disqualified from the green card for a period of 10 years. The approval of the waiver will now allow our client who is married to a legal permanent resident to proceed to the last stage of the green card process, which is to appear for an interview before the consular officer in our client's home country.
