The United States Citizenship and Immigration Service also known as USCIS announced today a new online option to assist anyone applying for most immigration benefits through USCIS to be able to reschedule biometrics appointment with USCIS when there is a conflict with a date already previously scheduled by USCIS.
Previously, the only method to reschedule biometrics appointment with USCIS was to call the USCIS Contact Center which was proven to be a difficult and frustrating process with the minimum amount of workers available to attend to rescheduling requests.
The online process will require the applicant or her accredited representative to create an online account where the option to make the rescheduling request will be available through the account. You can access the link to the USCIS online Mycase page here.
Finally, only cases with pending appointments will qualify for this option. If the appointment was missed or where the appointment was rescheduled two or more times or when the appointment is within next 12 hours. In these situations, the request must be made by calling the USCIS Contact Center.
